I began this website on the mid-afternoon of 25 June 2009. For a few months, Windows had been pestering me to install all these little add-ins, like Silverlight and Office-Live. I ignored them until business struck--not as exciting as opportunity, I know, but it's the truth.

And truth is, I see need to promote my projects. To show publishers the career I have in mind--to tease fans with what I will spring upon you. With full-length works like Revelation Range up for submission, I wanted every point in my favor and tool at my disposal... so long as it didn't cost this hungry creator a cent.

Time, I have. Enough to see web hosting as risky, if not fraught with conditions. Online workshops require member registration to find and view documents. And I hear bad press about websites post your book or screenplay for industry review. In either case, I never saw evidence that agents or publishers puruse these places. When Windows once again notified me of a scheduled update, I decided to take a closer look at some of these add-ins.

Now I hate how developers devote more dungware to Windows Live. Yes, I loathe signing online just to play Fallout 3 expansion packs. Yes, I despise how Games For Windows hijacks my computer to download a patch for Grand Theft Auto IV. For my small business as an author? Live is so far helpful.

Of course, I had to plunk credit for the proper business domain. And in a pique I paid for the Office 2007 suite in the first place (when I should have stuck with my perfectly usable 2003 edition).

Nevertheless, Brianranzoni.com brings my Werld to the world. I proudly present this little piece of mind.

Technical Thingies

Brianranzoni.com was designed for widescreen view, and is best seen at resolutions like 1680 x 1050. I built it on an Hewlett-Packard w2207h LCD widescreen.

Originally constructed on an HP m7790y multi-media ATX plaftorm with Intel's E6600 Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz CPU. Programs include Windows Vista Premium, Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE, Corel Painter Essentials 4, and Office 2007. The website itself is assembled in the Office Live Web Site Editor.

I use Facebook Connect for commenting. I use Add to Any as a page sharing and bookmark portal.

My website is served remotely, via Office Live Small Business.

Brianranzoni.com includes a number of embedded JPEGs, PDFs, and widgets. Certain doo-dads might fail to load for users stuck with dial-up or a congested connection.

To view embedded PDF files, ensure your PC is using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.

Brianranzoni.com uses banner ads and links from Amazon Associates to help defray the cost of web maintenance.

Please do not steal any content on brianranzoni.com. I prefer you link back here rather than copy excepts. However, users may cite anything on this site, to any length, provided they a) clearly acknowlege my authorship and b) do not take material out of context. I have already detected some aspiring peers who cleverly reworded me to imply professional endorsement of their own talents. Naughty, naughty!
